Wendy McCardle is an emerging rock photographer based on the East Coast.
Once told it was impossible to photograph music, Wendy’s mission is to capture the blood, sweat and tears that is live rock n’ roll: the guitarist who plays with such vigor, sweat is literally dripping down his guitar; the singer who leaves the safety of the stage to dance with her audience; the spotlight that pierces a smoke-filled room to transform a stage into an ethereal platform. Wendy is first and foremost a music fan, and her photographic eye is calibrated accordingly.
While some may believe you cannot interpret sound through a photograph, we hope once you see her attempts, you will want to hear the music that compelled her to try.
